Mommy took Eva to the doctor today for a wellness visit. She is in great shape - and the doctor was very surprised at how well she can walk. Her stats are as follows:
Weight - 24.5 pounds Height - 30 1/2 inches
We also had our tree trimmed in the backyard today. There was a lot of mess...as you know, I love organized things. But the guys cleaned all their mess while I was napping!
On Mommy's Birthday - last Thursday - we went to the doctors. I had to answer some questions about myself and what I could do. Mommy helped a bit. I was beyond the benchmarks for my age. Mommy was surprised, since she doesn't usually think too much about my abilities and if they are exceedingly above the average kid. I also got measured and weighed. I was 37.5 inches and 31 pounds. I'm in the 53rd percentile, which Mommy thinks is funny. Giving a "percentage" to a child is rather silly, especially one things that are not controllable. Mommy says that weight is, if I was very heavy...but genetics determines height. Oh well.
I can identify all my letters, lower case and upper case. I can spell some words, and I love to sound out words to identify the first letter. I sing lots of songs, and I love watching the following things on TV: Curious George, Word World, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Snow White, Pinky Dinky Doo, and the Letter Factory. I play games and LOVE to paint. I also help cook and clean with Mommy & Daddy.
Today we went and visited Santa. I agreed to sit next to him, but Eva had no problem sitting on his lap. I asked him for a Thomas train, and I thought I was going to get it there. So I was a bit confused that I left without my train. Mommy and Daddy reassured me that I would see my train on Christmas morning if I continued to be a good girl. Santa said I had a gold star next to my name on his list because I was a great help with Eva. He sees EVERYTHING you know!
I kept my distance - but I made sure to tell him everything I wanted.
There were SO many people there! I really don't like crowds...
Eva is now over 5 months old! She is 19 pounds 8 ounces and 27 inches. She is still growing quickly!
Mommy hopes to get more pictures up on here real soon. We've had a very busy month (so far) with appointments, preschool visits, and upcoming Halloween fun!
Zoe swimming with Daddy - CHEESE! Swimming on her back. Notice her hair does NOT touch the water! The instructor - one of three different ones in the first three classes! HAHA! Zoe kicking her feet - notice again that her hair is NOT touching the water. Moving her arms AND legs - her hair at this point is a bit wet....but notice again that she is using her neck to prevent further wetness. Jumping off the side of the pool! Zoe jumps again!
Last Sunday we went Apple Picking. I picked apples all by myself! As you can see I had a really great time!
Eva also picked apples with Mommy's help. She wasn't as happy as I was to be picking them. We ate warm donuts afterwards and today Daddy made yummy apple sauce!
Eva had cereal this week. She loved it! She seemed to want to eat it faster than Mommy could feed her!
Here I am helping Mommy feed Eva. I really love her!
Here are Daddy and me at my swim class! I love it! I can move my arms, and kick my legs, jump from the side of the pool, and blow bubbles. I'm not real thrilled to get my hair wet though, as you can see from this picture!
Eva went to the doctor with Mommy today. 18 pounds 2 ounces 26.5 inches
The doctor said she was very healthy. Eva has been rolling over for a month now, and the doctor was very excited and said that breastmilk was the reason! Mommy had to laugh at that. Here is a silly picture of me!
On Sunday our church had a picnic and invited ponies for the children to ride. Most of the kids rode once, but I didn't want to stop riding. I loved every minute of it, and cried when the ponies had to take naps! Eva was too small to ride, but I showed her how much fun I had!
