Bat Zone!
We went to the Bat Zone on the campus of Cranbrook Institute of Science earlier this month. Here are a couple pictures!
Bats might be scary, but they are very gentle. We loves seeing their cute faces!
Here we are with a sugar glider. It lives with a three-toed sloth at the Bat Zone! Eva loved this little criter!

June with the Martin girls
Here are some of the activities that we've been doing in the last month.
Here I am at my dance recital. I absolutely loved dancing this year. This was my second recital, and my last with this dance company. I am now taking ballet at another place. They have ballet bars and walls of mirrors!
Eva is posing in the bee exhibit at the Toledo Zoo. The kids area there is really awesome! We went to the zoo with Mommy, Daddy, and Uncle Joe. Uncle Joe was working in Ohio in May and part of June.
Here I am as a spider. They had real spiders there...they were super cool! I loved climbing this wall.
This is me and my teacher, Miss Dee, at PreSchool graduation. I am excited to start Kindergarten in the fall!

Happy Birthday Eva!
Eva turned 3 on Wednesday. Last Saturday we spent the day celebrating. First we had a wonderful Railroaders Breakfast at Greenfield Village. Then we took a special train ride on Thomas the Tank Engine at the Village. Eva was thrilled, even though it was cold and rainy.
You can see the track from this photo...Mommy just loves this picture of Eva.
Here I am smiling big next to Mommy and Zoe. A little rain didn't make us sad!
After a great day at the Village, we came home and relaxed a bit. Then later our family and friends came over for the next part of the Thomas Birthday Bash! Here is Eva in her Birthday party hat!
Smiles don't come much bigger, do they?
It all ended with a special Thomas cake made and decorated by Mommy. It was cool looking and yummy too!

happy birthday zoe
My 5th Birthday passed just two weeks ago! We had a Birthday Tea Party with my best friends and family.
Here are some of the pictures taken from the party.
Josh, Emma, Me and Natalie eating our yummy food and drinking tea...what else?!
Me - my 5-year-old smile!
Here is Eva painting her creation - she used two colors: green and blue. I (of course) used only blue - my all time favorite color.
And here I am blowing the candles out on my chocolate cherry cake! Emma and Macy were right there to experience the excitement. If you look carefully, Natalie is under the table. She was sad that she wouldn't be getting a chance to blow out the candles.
So now that I am 5 I have accomplished my life-long goal of going across the monkey bars at the park.
Now to decide on my 6th year! Hmmm...what adventures will I have now?

We painted tea cups, saucers and plates to take home as favors from the party. Mommy was VERY brave to do this project with 7 children!

Hallowe'en and October fun
Here are Eva and I ready for Hallowe'en at Greenfield Village. Eva was a bad witch, laugh and all. I was Raggedy Ann. Both of our costumes were made by our Grandma (Baka) Brown. We were so excited to go!
Here I am with my Uncle Joe. We were patiently waiting to enter the Village.

Zoe's 1st Day of Preschool
Today was my first day of Preschool! I didn't cry like Mommy thought I would, AND I actually had a good time!
Here I am with my Thomas backpack
Here I am in the classroom playing with the really cool doll house
and here I am enjoying broccoli cheese soup at Panera Bread!
I'm looking forward to returning on Friday. Mommy is happy that I didn't get too sad.

August fun
This month was really a great time for Eva and I!
My favorite activity was when Mommy and Daddy took us to go horseback riding.
We had so much fun riding through Huron Metro Park in Trenton. We both rode miniature horses.

I have also been taking music lessons this summer. I played the piano at church in August, and Mommy and Daddy were SO proud. I decided that I probably won't do that again though.

September will bring lots of new activities for us, as I start preschool on the 9th. Wish me (and Mommy) lots of luck and prayers for a successful transition!
